Dear Nashoba Tech Community,
As we continue to navigate COVID-19, your Athletic Department and Health Department have collaborated to offer workout plans to help keep you active in a safe and healthy way. Social distancing must be taken seriously, and we are encouraging you to stay away from the gym and other fitness facilities and instead exercise at home or outside taking the necessary precautions.
Using the link below, you will find access to the following workouts and workout programs:
Nashoba Tech - At Home Workouts
5-Week Bodyweight Workout Challenge
H.I.I.T. (High Intensity Interval Training) Workout
Walking to Running - 30 Day Plan
5-Week Couch to 5K Training Plan
Individual Workout Challenges
Stretching and Flexibility
Take a walk/run/hike/bike - our community is full of outdoor trails and nature areas, now is the time to enjoy them.
In addition to these suggestions, we encourage you to respect the social distancing recommendations of the CDC and other health experts. This means:
Do not have people over your house. This creates new links and possibilities for the type of transmission that school/work/public event closures are trying to prevent.
Do not share food or drinks.
Stay home as much as possible to reduce your risk of being exposed and prevent spread.
Wash your hands thoroughly after touching surfaces in public places and upon returning home from any public place.
Carry hand sanitizer with you and use it regularly.
Avoid touching your face, nose, eyes, etc.
Clean and disinfect your home to remove germs: practice routine cleaning of frequently touched surfaces (for example: cell phones, doorknobs, light switches, handles, toilets)

Update on Spring Sport Season
March 16, 2020
The MIAA Board of Directors voted today, March 16, 2020, to amend the start of the 2020 spring sports season in light of recent mandates from Governor Baker and recommendations from governing health agencies. The updated start date for the 2020 spring season is April 27, 2020.
Additionally, the MIAA Board of Directors voted to have completion of regular season and tournament games by June 20, 2020 with consideration of June 21, 2020 for weather and facility needs.
Details regarding the structure of the spring season will be addressed by the Tournament Management Committee (TMC). An update will be provided and reviewed by the Board by March 25, 2020.
These decisions are based on available information and are made in the best interest of our student-athletes, schools and communities. These decisions will be revisited and adjusted as needed.
Thank you for your patience while dealing with this very fluid situation. Be well.

To Nashoba Tech Students and Parents:
As you are likely aware, Governor Baker just issued an executive order closing all schools from March 16th with a school return date of April 7th. This will extend Nashoba’s previously issued closure. Nashoba Valley Technical High School will be moving forward with a distance learning program and planning is underway. More details will follow soon. We thank you for your patience. To facilitate this endeavor, we ask that any student that currently has his or her Chromebook at the school come with a parent or guardian to collect their Chromebook or other necessary, personal belongings tomorrow. If your child has medications at school that he or she requires, you will be able to collect these as well. The building will be open during the following times for students and parents.
