Pat Trahman and Nicole Abu, the school nurses, have been selected as March’s Employees of the Month at Nashoba Tech. Pat is in her seventh year with the school, and Nicole is in her first year.
Pat and Nicole were nominated by Principal Jeremy Slotnick, who wrote: “Pat and Nicole have been exemplary school nurses during a challenging year. They are always hard-working, efficient and caring in their dealings with students and staff. They have been presented with several unusual medical situations this year which they have faced head-on, demonstrating a willingness not only to care for students with empathy but also to communicate with medical professionals and families to ensure that students receive the care that is in their best interest. In many cases, they have also served as the conduit for passing on vital information to other staff members in order to keep students safe and to provide a productive learning environment. They are the reason behind the success achieved by many or our most vulnerable students.”
