Nashoba Tech has selected three Students of the Month for February, based on the school’s “Portrait of a Graduate” attributes: resourceful, responsible, resilient, respectful and ready.

Kylie Bellissimo, (caption)daughter of Tony and Jennifer Bellissimo of Chelmsford, is a senior in the Veterinary Assisting program. She is a member of the Art Club. She plans to work in the veterinary field after graduation while going to college. She is an honor-roll student who works at Canine Odyssey in Chelmsford through Nashoba Tech’s Cooperative Education program.

Kylie was nominated by math teacher Barbara Whitney, who wrote: “Kylie is a clear example of a student who demonstrates responsibility, readiness and resourcefulness, as she always has her assignments completed for class, is organized with all her required materials, and is respectful of her peers and the classroom at all times.”

blaisdellChase Blaisdell, son of Justin and Kathleen Blaisdell of Pepperell, is a junior in the Automotive Collision Repair & Refinishing program. He is a freshman mentor and captain of the baseball team. He plans to enter the workforce upon graduation at CARSTAR Collision Center in Fitchburg, where he is currently working through Nashoba Tech’s Cooperative Education program.

Chase was nominated by music teacher Emily Lewis, who wrote: “Chase has gone above and beyond this month. He has shown immense respect and responsibility in times when his peers are failing to do so. His kindness and caring have led to some really great choices that he doesn't feel are a big deal, but deserve recognition.”

kingJared King, son of Bart and Amy King of Townsend, is a senior in the Plumbing & Heating program. He is a four-year football player for the Vikings and works for Milltown Plumbing of Chelmsford through Nashoba Tech’s Cooperative Education program.

Jared was nominated by math teacher Jaclyn LeRoy, who wrote: “Jared has demonstrated significant growth throughout the school year. He consistently demonstrates the 5 R’s in both the academic and technical settings. Jared has demonstrated responsibility as he has maintained over a 100% average in pre-calculus over the second trimester, consistently using class time wisely and completing all assignments on time.

“He has shown resourcefulness when reaching out independently and using resources to complete assignments even when he has been absent,” she added. “He has shown respect when mediating misunderstandings between his peers and by consistently treating those around him with dignity and kindness.”
