Pratt

Kristen Pratt, in just her first year as an English teacher at Nashoba Tech, has been named Employee of the Month for February.

Two of her fellow faculty members from the English Department nominated Kristen.

Courtney Nugent wrote:

"Kristen wears a lot of hats, and she wears them all well. She is an MCAS tutor, an MCAS proctor, a co-teacher in English and science (I would cry if I had to co-teach science, and Kristen does it with grace), an IEP writer, a progress-report writer, a collaborator, a teammate and a friend.

"She makes students feel appreciated and loved. She helps students achieve success not only in her classes, but just in life in general. Kristen lives by the idea of 'be good,' and her students know this. They know Kristen wants them to feel safe, successful, secure and happy in her class.

"Kristen goes out of her way, every single day, for faculty and students, to show her gratitude. She is one in a million. We are so lucky to have her at NVTHS."

Bruce Sullivan wrote: "While Kristen is in her first year here at Nashoba Tech, she has already established herself as a knowledgeable, skillful, caring and ethical English teacher, and a tremendous addition to the department. As a co-teacher in my Grade 12 class.

"Kristen has developed a real rapport with our students, built on trust and respect. Without being asked, she seeks out students who may need extra help or attention, and the students know she is invested in their success."
