2024-2025 Admissions Policy

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING EMAIL ADDRESSES ON YOUR APPLICATION!

  • Please do not use your current school email address. Use a non-school email address or a parent/guardian email when applying or registering for an event.  Make sure it is an Email you will check regularly as we will send information to you that may be time sensitive.

  • When you complete your application, you SHOULD receive a confirmation email.  Be sure to check your Spam/Junk folder for this email and mark it as Not Spam/Junk.  This will ensure that you are up to date on the process and will receive any communications that we send.

WHO CAN APPLY?

  • Any student who was promoted from the previous grade level from the following District towns:  Ayer, Chelmsford, Groton, Littleton, Pepperell, Shirley, Townsend or Westford 

  • Non-District and School choice students and Transfer students from other high schools may apply for admission, however acceptance is based on space availability.

  • For admission, students must meet standards set forth in the approved Secondary school 2024-2025 Admissions Policy on file with the Massachusetts Department of Secondary & Elementary Education.

ADMISSIONS CRITERIA:

  • Academic Grades: Previous year final grades and current school year-to-date report card

  • Attendance Record: Previous year final attendance printout and current school year-to-date attendance printout

  • Discipline Record: Previous year final discipline printout and current school year-to-date discipline printout

  • Interview: Held at district middle school, virtually, or at Nashoba Valley Technical High School

HOW TO APPLY:

  • Obtain an application from your local Guidance Counselor, complete an online high school application.

  • Fill out the application completely with all required signatures and return to your Guidance Counselor or complete the online application and that information will automatically be submitted to your counselor.

  • Your Guidance Counselor will submit your, grades, attendance, discipline to our admissions software program.

ADMISSIONS STATUS:

  • Students with incomplete applications will be notified by email or phone call of missing documents needed.

  • Completed applications are reviewed by the Admissions Committee.

  • Once a decision has been made, an email is sent to all applicants, indicating the Admissions Committee's decision to accept or wait-list the candidate.

  • For non-resident applicants, decisions are mailed after all resident applicants have been processed.
