Peter Martin May Employee of the Month

Carpentry instructors Jose Fernandes and Rob Baratta, along with Electrical instructor Peter Martin, were all selected as May's Employees of the Month at Nashoba Tech. Fernandes and Baratta are in their fifth year at Nashoba Tech; this is Martin's first year with the school.

All three were nominated by Carpentry instructor Jonathan Pryor for their work in helping to build a home for Habitat for Humanity. In his nomination, Pryor wrote: “The three of them have stepped up in a huge way and delivered a quality product that exceeded the expectations of the project manager for Habitat for Humanity. In the past, Habitat for Humanity has had a less-than-desirable experience with area vocational-technical schools, and they were reluctant to sign on with us. The three of them have elevated their respective programs’ work experience by providing a real-world application, and have done it to the highest level. As the chairperson for the Construction Cluster, I couldn’t be prouder of their efforts. The fact that what they do with Habitat for Humanity goes beyond helping their students, and is helping at a humanitarian level, is icing on the cake. Their efforts should be applauded.”
